HELP Murcia Mar Menor has donated €3,000 to Aidemar San Javier, providing vital funds to purchase equipment for the charity’s new children’s day centre.

With rising costs and the winter season approaching, supporting local charities is more important than ever. HELP Murcia Mar Menor has been a long-time supporter of Aidemar, helping them continue their essential work within the community.

On Monday, September 8, HELP representatives David, Margaret, Irene, and Debbie visited Aidemar to meet residents and learn more about the services the charity provides. They were warmly welcomed by Miguel, Aidemar’s director, who shared details about the wide range of support available through their residential homes and day centres.

Aidemar cares for individuals with disabilities—from children as young as 18 months to elderly pensioners. One resident has even called Aidemar home for over 40 years, a testament to the charity’s lifelong commitment to care.

Looking ahead, Aidemar is preparing to open a new children’s day centre for ages 0 to 8. Miguel confirmed that HELP’s donation will go directly towards equipping this new facility.

During their visit, HELP members also met residents developing computer skills, describing the experience as “rewarding, uplifting, and filled with warmth.”

HELP Murcia Mar Menor remains dedicated to supporting those in need across the Region of Murcia and encourages local residents to get involved—whether through volunteering or fundraising.

📍 To learn more or to get involved, visit the HELP office in Los Alcázares or their Outlet on Avda. de la Unión 57, San Javier, where volunteers will be delighted to share how just a couple of hours a week can make a meaningful difference.
