HELP has donated €500 to the fundraising campaign which has been organised by the running club (Escuela Triatlon Mandarache) in Cartagena, Ares parents are members.
Ares suffers from SMA Spinal Muscular Atrophy, which is a genetic neuromuscular condition which affects the nerve cells controlling muscle movement, leading to muscle weakness.
Ares family and friends are trying to raise 3,700€ to buy a Rifton Pacer a special walker which will help him move, strengthen his muscles and give him some independence.
