On Thursday 24th October we were delighted to present AFACMUR
( Children´s Cancer Charity) with a cheque for 1000 euros. Afacmur were represented by Lourdes Albaladejo who came from their Office in Murcia.
A brief resume of AFACMUR´S MISSION and VISION.
AFACMUR ( Association of relatives with Cancer in the Region of Murcia) was founded in 1995 by a group of parents who had gone through the experience of having a child with cancer. After the experience witnessed by these parents, who knew the problem very well, they saw the need to join forces and try and cover neglected and forgotten aspects in the lives of children and adolescents with cancer and their families in the Region of Murcia. Their mission is to improve the quality of life of those children and adolescents affected by cancer and their families, through educational, psychosocial and leisure care, support and accompaniment. They also hope to raise awareness within society. They are a non – profit making association.
