HELP Murcia Mar Menor recently made a donation of 2000 euros to the Charity DEBRA. This is a Children’s Charity that was born to care for, support and raise awareness for families living with Epidermolysis Bullosa, or EB, which is also known as Butterfly skin.
EB is a rare, extremely painful and debilitating condition, currently without a cure. It can happen at any time and without warning to any family. It is only discovered after a baby has left the protection of the mother’s womb. Imagine being scared to hold your baby. Imagine that the simple act of walking or eating causes them unbearable pain.
DEBRA has a team of specialist nurses, psychologists and researchers who help make every day less painful. They exist solely on the donations they receive.
DEBRA is an international Charity, but we have been assured that our donation will be spent on children and families in the Murcia region.
